Sometimes accidents happen. Protect your furniture investments with Smitty’s Furniture Extended Protection Plans. Here are four reasons to purchase a plan to protect your furniture:

  1. Accidental stains and spills: Over the life of your furniture stains and spills are likely to happen. Smitty’s Extended Protection Plan covers food and beverage stains; human and pet stains; pen, ink, and crayon stains accidents; cosmetic and nail polish mishaps; even newsprint and denim dye transfers on all types of upholstered furniture, from fabric to top grain leather!
  2. Accidental mishaps: Has an accidental burn or fabric rip occurred? Don’t worry! Smitty’s Extended Protection Plan covers these mishaps, too.
  3. Wood Furniture protection: Beautiful wood finishes are worth protecting. Finished wood furniture products under the extended protection plan are protected against stains from common household food and beverages, heat marks, liquid rings, watermarks, and accidental scratches that penetrate the finish. This includes damage from food and beverages that cause warping or lifting of wood veneer. Glass or mirror components are protected against accidental breakage, chipping, and scratches too.
  4. Peace of mind: When you consider investing in furniture for the long term, a concern usually arises over how to protect it against accidental damage. Unlike manufacturer warranties on components of the furniture, these extended protection plans offer additional coverage that allows you to relax knowing that while accidents do happen, they can be fixed. Smitty’s Extended Protection Plans are for up to five years and so you can focus on enjoying your furniture.
How Does It Work?

If you accidentally spill a glass of wine on your couch, or notice a stain from your pet on your chair,  or cause any other accidental damage mentioned above, you can file a claim with your furniture protection plan within 14 days of the incident.

Be prepared to take pictures of the damage. It might be helpful to also have a few pictures of what your furniture looked like new. This will allow you to get the best outcome. Free professional stain removal or repair advice can be obtained, and a cleaning solution may be delivered to you, or as the situation requires, the furniture may be serviced at your home by a professional technician. If the technician cannot remove the stain or repair the accidental damage, a replacement or exchange may be made.

Should You Get a Furniture Protection Plan?

If you’ve invested in quality furniture, this type of plan can protect your furniture from any damage. It’s especially a good choice for people with pets or young children, and it can give you enough peace of mind to relax and enjoy the comfort of your furniture. If you need any further information on our protection plans, please reach out to our team. We’re always happy to help you protect your furniture investments.
