1. Say Goodnight To Electronics

Did you know that using electronics at night, particularly 30-60 minutes before bedtime, can interfere with your sleeping patterns? For both kids and adults alike, saying goodnight to your electronics before you go to bed, such as your phone, tablet, laptop, or TV can limit the amount of blue light you're intaking, as well as decrease your alertness. You want to feel sleepy, not be distracted by your electronic device. The more blue light you expose yourself to, the more alert you may feel.
 

2. Use Calm & Neutral Colours

As tempting as it is to introduce a vibrant and fun wallpaper or colour to your bedroom, this can actually negatively impact your sleep. You should design your room with muted colours and pastels in mind, like light blue, green, or more neutral colours like white and beige. Use vibrant colours in accents like artwork or decorative pillows for your bed instead. Overall, using a calm, cooler and lighter colour can decrease one's stress levels, blood pressure and heart rate. They're also easier to decorate with!
